Splish Splash

Sunday Trey was outside playing in his new animal pool set. The alligator is a small pool, the elephant sprays out water, and the giraffe is in an arch shape, you run under it while water is coming out. As you can see, he had a ball. After he got tired of all that, he went to the neighbors pool to warm up a little, since the water he was in was straight from the faucet. He was still purple by the time he got finished. He did not want to leave Alex and Amanda.

Lowe's Build & Grow

We went to Lowe's Saturday to buy some handles for Lauren's dresser, well, a lady approached us and asked if Trey wanted to build a planter. So, we went back to where they were doing Lowe's Build and Grow. They gave him this cute Lowe's apron and goggles to wear, a kit for a planter box, and a coloring sheet. He got to use a real "hamma" so he was thrilled.
Of course, Robert was in heaven that he got to build something with him.

Third Sunday at Grandma & Grandpa Cox's

Every 3rd Sunday of the month we go to my grandparent's house in Asheboro, NC. It's about a 3 hour drive one way for us. We really enjoy going and getting to see all the cousins, aunts, uncles, and most importantly my grandparents. They are both in their 80's now, so any time I can see them, I try to do so. The great grandkids always have a ball no matter what they are doing. My grandpa seems to find old power wheels and the kids push each other around in them. The sliding board here is as old as my dad (55 maybe?) It was bought for him when he was a small child. I played on it when I was a kid and as you can see, Trey and the others still do as well.

Blake & Ansley's Birthday Party

We went to the lake to celebrate Blake and Ansley's birthday Saturday. Blake turned 8 and Ansley turned 4. The kids played in the pool and had hot dogs, ice cream and cake. Trey played so hard in the water. He constantly jumped off the side of the pool into the water, and would climb out and do it all over again. He was so exhausted, he ended up falling asleep in my arms (which never happens). Robert and I decided to go on a boat ride with Robert's dad while Trey was sleeping. It was the most relaxation I've had in a while.

Trey's Days...

These days Trey seems to be at the perfect age. We have so much fun with him and I feel like we are always laughing at some of the things he comes up with...
  • He likes to "build a castle"
  • He likes to "ride in my car"
  • He likes to hide, even though he won't cover his eyes but for 2 seconds
  • He likes seeing big trucks, tractors, boats and airplanes
  • He always says "My truck...My tractor...My Boat..."whatever, it's all his and he can drive them all and will give you a ride too
  • He loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Dora the Explorer(which Robert is not fond of him liking), Go Diego Go
  • He enjoys saying the blessing and his prayer at night....This is his prayer at night: "Now I yay me down to seep, I pay da Loooord my soul to keep, if I die, fore I wake, I pay da Looord my soul to keep, Amen, I say Amen."
  • He enjoys singing and dancing to anything. He loves to sing "Deep and Wide", "Row Row Row Your Boat", "Jesus Loves Me"..here goes "Jesus luvs me dis I know for da bible tells me so little one to him beyong dey are weak but he is stong, yes Jesus luvs me, yes Jesus luvs me, yes Jesus luvs me, for da bible tells on me"
  • He loves going to church
  • He likes to point and tell me "Dis way moma, no dis way" and make it work to whichever way I go. He can tell me the way from home to daycare.
  • He seems to be getting excited about his "baby siser" He always wants to pull my shirt up and look at my belly, rub it and kiss it. He loves showing everyone her bedroom, but then he must show everyone his.
  • He LOVES being outside. (He helps me water the flowers everyday now..that's his new chore.)
  • He is doing very good with potty training. He must get gummies as his treat when he potties. Sometimes, he doesn't even have to but he will sit there and try just to get gummies. He HATES wearing a diaper. As soon as he pees in the diaper he takes it off. He has also taken off his diaper after he's pooped, taken the wipes and wiped himself. (Yes, I walked in on this....TOO FUNNY)

Daddy and Me

Going for a bike ride.

Trey loves riding and sitting on the back of "Daddy's big truck"

Mother's Day

Trey was such a sweetie on M0ther's Day. He bought me a pineapple for my mailbox and a wind chime. He listens very well, as he had to hear me say that's exactly what I wanted.
(I have some more pics, they're on another camera.)

Playing in the Rain...

It poured rain last Monday. I decided to let Trey play in the rain when we got home from daycare. As you can see...he LOVED it. Robert and I laughed so hard at him running in and out of the rain.
